Penford Australia is the only local producer of corn starch products in Australia and New Zealand. Our customers enjoy access to significant manufacturing capacity to ensure adequate supplies as well a strategic source near the growing Asia-Pacific market.

Penford Australia has three manufacturing sites.

Lane Cove, NSW, Australia
processes waxy and high amylose maize varieties. The site includes a maize mill, by-product plants, a chemical modification plant, and a pregelatinisation plant. It is also home to Penford Australia's division offices and the principal research & development centre.

Tamworth, NSW, Australia
processes wheat flour. This site manufactures vital wheat gluten, wheat starch, caramel colour and dextrin. A research & development centre is also located at Tamworth.

Auckland, New Zealand
Auckland processes regular maize (also known as dent or yellow maize) and waxy maize. The site includes a maize mill, by-product plants, a modification plant and a glucose refinery. This facility also houses Penford New Zealand’s administrative offices, research and development and sales office.
